Adjust it.
Rebuild it.
STX 36 shocks and NIX fork cartridge kits for Harley Touring, Softail and Dyna. The same damping engineering Öhlins puts under race bikes — in a bolt-on you can re-spring, re-valve and rebuild instead of replace.

Pick the part, then choose your length and spring rate on the product page — every shock is listed as a pair with the fitment spelled out.
Three levels of adjustment
Every STX 36 shares the same 36 mm single-tube body, hard-anodized internals and rebuildable construction. What changes is how much of the damping you get to control.

STX 36 Classic

STX 36 Performance

STX 36 Pro
Rebound + compressionSeparate reservoir — piggyback or hose-mounted — and independent rebound and compression adjusters. For two-up, loaded, or anyone who actually dials a bike in.

A shock is only as good as the spring under it. Öhlins offers most Touring shocks in two rates — and putting the heavy-duty spring on a light bike is the fastest way to a harsh ride.
Standard spring
150 lb – 500 lb combinedThe right choice for most riders, solo or with a light passenger. Rider and passenger and luggage together under 500 lb? This is your spring.
S2 heavy-duty spring
250 lb – 575 lb combinedÖhlins sets two rules, and both have to be true: the rider is over 250 lb, and combined weight is over 500 lb. If either one isn't, take the standard.
Not sure?
Ask before you orderTell us your year, model, riding weight and whether you ride two-up. We'll tell you the length and rate to order — and if we think you need a different shock entirely, we'll say so.
Authorized dealer
We're a stocking Öhlins dealer. Real warranty coverage, real fitment support, and a US shop to call when something isn't right.
Rebuildable, not disposable
Hard-anodized, CNC-machined and fully serviceable. Öhlins shocks get re-valved and re-sprung at service intervals instead of thrown away at 30,000 miles.
We ride these bikes
Our techs install suspension every week. Tell us your year and model and we'll tell you what actually bolts up — and what it'll do to your ride height.

Your bike. Your weight. Your spring.
Start with your platform, pick the level of adjustment you'll actually use, then choose the length and spring rate on the product page. If your combination isn't listed, ask — Öhlins builds more spring rates than we stock and we can order them in.
