Swapped from Harley Rockford to civads
"I wanted to try a different brand of speaker after having several of the Harley Davidson Rockford Fosgate speakers blow in my first two years with my new bike. A friend of mine owned a cicada System on his bike so I decided to purchase a pair of saddlebag speakers to replace the Harley Davidson ones. I would have given the speakers a five star review instead of a four, but I had to modify the cages that the speakers sit in because of the location of where the wires connect onto the new speakers also had to put on 90° wire connections because the subwoofers from Harley would then hit the wire connections and bend the connectors on the speaker after installing the new speakers I could definitely tell a difference in clarity of the speed of the music, the volume seemed basically the same as the Rockford Fosgate stage two but I am very pleased with the speaker quality compared to the Rockford Fosgate speakers I had previously had installed. I will be buying deferring speakers to match as soon as one of the Rockford’s blow in the fairing."

Rockford stage two switched to cicada saddlebag speakers
"i was sick and tired of failing Harley Davidson stage 2 Rockford speakers and wanted an upgrade that will hopefully last! Speaker quality looks better and stronger. I switched my bad speaker only first and then turned on my system to see if I could notice a difference in sound volume or clarity. The cicada speakers did seem to have clearer sound volume seemed identical. Switched the second speaker out and could then definately tell a difference in sound quality. I am very satisfied with the new cicada speakers and will be buying matching fairing speakers when I need to replace them. The only reason I did not give these speakers 5 stars is I expected them to be 100% drop in and I had to cut the guards under the speakers to make them fit I also had to add different wire connectors and reroute my wiring as it did not plug in the same as the Harley speakers. I had to install 90 degree connectors so the would not contact my sub woofers in the saddlebags and bend over the wire connections"

"What a perfect replacement speaker!! Sound is night and day different from Boom 2 OEM. Did not want to replace amps and this was perfect. The only issue is that they don’t make a replacement for the fairing. My back now sound better then my front."
