Unboxing a Back-Up Camera for Your Harley! Soundstream HD Vision

All right, stay tuned for Soundstream’s brand new HD Vision backup camera!

Today, we just got in the brand-new Soundstream HD Vision backup cameras. I’m going to open up the box, show you what’s inside, and then we’ll do an install video a little later on to show you how it works and how to hook it up.

First, it comes with two lights. This is going to be for 2010 through 2023 Harley-Davidson touring models—any bike that has the little pop-in socket turn signals. You’re just going to remove the cap and your existing filament bulb, and this will go right into its place.

One side has the backup camera built in. The other side looks like it has a camera, but it doesn’t—just for visual balance. These are full LED and function as turn signals and brake lights.

Once you’ve got them installed using the included sockets, they’ll just pop right in. They draw power for the camera directly from the light socket, so you don’t need any extra wiring back there.

Now, digging deeper into the receiver—there are no wires going from the back of your bike to the front because Soundstream did something awesome.

The receiver goes right up inside your fairing and is completely waterproof, in case you get any water intrusion up there. Setup is super simple:

• This plugs into your accessory power connector that's already in the fairing.

• This connects to the backup camera RCA input on any Soundstream radio.

• And this is the RF antenna, which receives the signal wirelessly from the turn signal backup camera.

That’s it! It really is that easy to have a backup camera on your bike. If you’ve got long pipes, if your bike sits super low, or you’re running stretched bags—especially if you wear a full-face helmet—this setup is a game-changer.
