[Q&A] Soundstream Harley Radio 14-23 Touring

Stay tuned for answers to all the questions you may ever have about the Soundstream SI radio.

This is the Soundstream SI head unit that fits 2014 to 2023 Harley-Davidson touring motorcycles. This radio has been out for a couple of years now, and everyone who's been buying them has been giving us great reviews. If you've got questions about the SI head unit, then I've got the answers for you.

You bet! All Soundstream radios are IPX5 rated, which means they can withstand direct contact with water from a projected nozzle in any direction. This means you can wash your bike, park it out in the rain, or ride it in the rain with confidence and not have any worries about this radio.

The Soundstream SI head unit is 100% plug-and-play. However, 2014 to 2023 Harley-Davidson touring motorcycles will need to purchase either the MRR or the RR2 module for Maestro. The purchase of one of these modules is required to decode the bike's CAN bus system. This allows your radio to display all the gauge functions and information, as well as enabling the hand controls to work.

The difference between the MRR and the RR2 is that the RR2 has eight programmable features that can be tied into your hand controls. This allows you to control special features and accessories right from your hand controls, such as center stands, air ride, LED lighting, and more.

Please note that at this time, the gauges will not work on the SI for bikes that have either the ThunderMax or the Vance & Hines Fuelpak engine tuners.

Here at Lifestyle Cycles, we flash the Maestro module for you, so you don’t have to. Each module is flashed before it ships.

Absolutely! This radio works with both the controls on your handlebars and the passenger controls located on the tour pack speaker pods in the rear.

Yes, but even better—the radio comes with a wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto adapter, allowing you to wirelessly connect your phone while still accessing maps, texts, and phone calls.

The SI has 61 programmable gauges that can display everything your OEM gauges do, plus a whole lot more.

The SI does not support any wired or wireless headsets or CB functions.

Yes, the radio is SiriusXM ready. You will need to purchase part number SXV300V1 to activate it.
