Lifestyle Cycles How To: Soundstream V2 Motorcycle Audio System

"Kevin here at Lifestyle Cycles. Today, we're going to go over all the new things about the Soundstream V2 radio. We're going to talk about the screen, we're going to talk about the Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto. We're going to talk about the ability to run wireless headsets — AirPods, earbuds, anything like that. We're also going to talk about the native iGo GPS system that's in here, just like the factory cars do that you're driving around when you're not on your bike, as well as the voltage output on the RCAs of this radio. Alright, so let's dive into it. First of all, you'll notice the home screen, quite a bit different. You have your car here in the center, or your Android Auto, or if it's your FM and AM, your satellite radio, whatever the music is playing, is going to be here in the center. You've actually got your speedometer right over here on the left, and then you've got your check engine information systems over here on the right. Next, we'll go into the apps feature right here in the center. Once you're into your apps, you'll find your CarPlay, your Android Auto, the navigation for the native navigation that's built in just like your car does that you can type in everything manually, your radio, your gauges, your motorcycle info, your Bluetooth audio, your Bluetooth phone, USB for if you want to plug in a thumb drive or what have you, your device list of all the different things that you've got paired into the phone, as well as Sirius XM and your headsets. First of all, let's go to our gauges, two different screens just like before. I like the way it looks a little bit better now, especially since we've got more room with the bigger screen. As always, over 60 different programmable features between these 10 gauges. Come back over here to apps. We've also got our motorcycle info. We will read the tire pressure sensors if they're on the bike. We've also found out that if you have a mid '17 and later, you can get tire pressure monitoring system valve stems for your bike. If you order them for a CVO model, they can be married to your bike. So, all the way back to mid '17, you can actually have the functionality of the guys that their bikes already came with it. It'll give you your gear indicator, your voltage, let you know if your engine's okay. You can also get in there and check the codes if anything comes up in the system on your bike, and you can even clear them through the radio. Okay, now we'll head back to the main menu. Here's one thing that's really cool on this radio that nobody else has. I've already got my Novice headset paired to the radio, but if you want, you can even do a set of AirPods or earbuds or anything like that. I'll show you how to make that work. I put this into pairing mode, I go to headsets, headset list, hit the little search icon. Alright, the AirPods have shown up, they're connecting. I just heard them beep, so you can actually put these in your ears with the helmet on and you can actually hear the music going down the road as well. Your passenger could do it. It's set up to where you can put two different headsets on this motorcycle, and the passenger can choose between navigation and music or phone calls, or and the front rider can choose between navigation, music, or phone calls. Only one person can take the phone call, but either person can choose whatever they want to listen to. Really great feature that I haven't seen anywhere else. So, let's go back to the home screen and let's go over some of the functions that you're already accustomed to. Full IPX waterproof, all the hand controls work. You can even scroll around to the different items on the menus right from your right-hand control now, so now you really don't even need to touch anything on the radio. So, if you've got your 2014 through 2018 motorcycle, you've obviously got the 4.3 screen radio or the infotainment center. That thing just needs to be thrown in the garbage. The boot-up time is terrible, the sound quality coming out of those radios is absolutely obnoxious. This radio is going to be a big benefit. Even the guys with the 19 and up GTS radios, 19 to 23, huge improvement, bigger screen, run the headsets, CarPlay, Android Auto, built-in RCA outputs. This really is a better radio as far as sound quality, functionality, it's got it all. So, get onto our website. We've got a bunch on order that are coming in the next couple of weeks. Get yours reserved so when they show up and they're going to disappear quick, we're probably going to sell out before they arrive. Make sure you're on the list so you get yours right off the bat and you can show off to all your friends that you've got the new latest greatest best thing on the block radio out there. Wait, don't go anywhere until you like and subscribe to make sure you get notified every time we post our how-to videos, our product reviews, and all of our amazing interviews with your favorite racers and industry icons. I'll see you guys next time."
