Lifestyle Cycles Product Review: L.A. Choppers Floorboards

"Kevin again. Brought Kyle out here from L.A. Choppers. What have you got for us today, man?"

"Yeah, absolutely. So just recently, about a year ago, we released a line of small parts to kind of accessorize and make your motorcycle feel like it's your own. We call it the County Line. And I brought a couple of those parts to talk about today. So the two that we have in front of us are our new County Line floorboards, which you can see. These are in a bronze finish, powder-coated bronze, adjustable on the bottom as well. So it might be hard to see, but you can actually move this piece back and forth about half an inch to get you a little bit more rideability and comfort. Bronze finish. But we also have it in chrome, anodized black, as well as raw aluminum. So if you're thinking of powder-coating it or anodizing it yourself to match your bike, you can already get it in a roll and finish."

"Yeah, I went over the city that we've got here for that. We're doing a bunch of work on it, and I wanted to challenge you on just how close this was. Man, this stuff is really spot on with the wheels. So they nailed the color to where it's going to match your bike. You guys did a great job. And the rear foot pegs, you know, even the way these are made, you put some extra contours in them and contrasts. They look great on the bike. I could see the owner of this city we've got here now that we were looking at earlier. I can see he's going to want a set of this stuff, especially when you come out with the new products that are part of the County Line."

"Yeah, absolutely. And I mean, you said it right, that bronze, you know, we made that to match the wheels of the SC. Bronze has been popular for a long time, but the city really put it on the map for a lot of other people. A lot of people are looking to do some builds and use bronze accents. So this is a great way. Like I said, we have our floorboards. You talked about our foot pegs a little bit. Really nice and grippy, but nothing too crazy, right? You don't have spikes coming out of them. You're not going to get off your bike with your shoes still attached to your floorboard or anything like that. And we do have some other small parts with it currently. So floorboards, foot pegs, and we also have shift linkage, shift levers, as well as derby covers in the line right now. And it's going to continue to grow. A little birdie told me that we might have some miniature floorboards in production right now too. So we have a lot of other cool parts. You know, at the end of the day, handlebars, cables, that's our bread and butter. That's our priority. But these are parts that we like to have fun with. This is stuff that we run on our own bikes, you know."

"Right. And when I open these up, one thing that I like to touch on, you know, with the packaging on these, you could tell they put the effort in to make nice packaging. Your parts aren't going to show up damaged. You know, that's always kind of a killer at the end. You order something, you're really excited. You want it tomorrow. It takes however many days for it to get to you, and then it shows up and it's been damaged in shipping. And then you've got to go through the whole process of seeing if the company you ordered from is going to believe you and then sending it back and getting new stuff. But you guys did a great job on making sure it's going to get to the customer just as I see it right here in front of me."

"Yeah, absolutely. We put a lot of thought into the packaging too. So foam inserts that are specifically cut to the shape and design of the parts that are in it. Like you said, making sure that you don't get it in the mail, you're not excited to put it on, open it up and see that you have a big neck or a scratch or it, unlike your forehead."

"Unlike my forehead. Yeah, yeah. Long story there. But it definitely involves something very brave and vicious and scary. And it was not me just accidentally opening the car door into my forehead."

"Yeah, right. Sounds like a good cover story though."

"Yeah, yeah. The old car door hit me on the way over. Alright, well, man, I really appreciate you coming down. Talking to us about the new County Line. Looking forward to the new accessories that come with it. You know, I see a bike in our future is going to need to get this stuff pretty soon."

"Absolutely. Let's do it."

"Right on, man. Again, thank you."
